Glen Ross UAA Group Executive General Manager Construction
Glenn brings over 30 years experience to his role as CEO, MECON Insurance. Prior to starting MECON Insurance in November 2003, Glenn spent 15 years underwriting engineering risks in both Australia and New Zealand and 10 years as an insurance broker – specialising in construction, plant and engineering insurance. During this time he was also a risk manager to one of the top 20 multinational construction companies. He has a strong working knowledge of the industry and his experience is assisting MECON Insurance to become one of Australia’s leading providers of insurance.
Kishan Dasan General Manager
Kishan has over 16 years of insurance experience, including his role as AIG’s Head of Construction for Asia Pacific and then as Director of Strategic Growth, Construction and Natural Resources at Willis Towers Watson. During this time, Kishan was at the forefront of some of the region’s largest construction and energy projects. Kishan prides himself on bringing a strong technical background to provide clients with a seamless end-to-end solution. His qualifications include Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Computer Systems) and a Diploma in Risk Engineering (Clemson University).
Milos Skopljak National Claims Manager
Milos joined MECON Insurance in 2010, prior to which he held senior claims roles with two other large general insurers. He has many years of experience across multiple insurance classes, including construction, heavy machinery, property and liability. A results and service driven professional, Milos is highly regarded within the industry and is a valuable member of our team. Milos holds a university Graduate Diploma in Financial Services and is a NSW Justice of the Peace. He is also an affiliate with multiple industry related groups and associations.
Howaida Nakhla National Underwriting Manager
Howaida has been in the insurance market for over 48 years with the past 38 years specialising in underwriting and managing engineering and casualty portfolios. Prior to joining MECON Insurance, Howaida has held senior underwriting management roles in Queensland and NSW. Her service ethic to her clients is outstanding and her passion for underwriting is well recognised in the market.

Stan Alexandropoulos UAA Group CEO
As the CEO of the UAA Group, Stan brings over 35 years of experience in the general insurance industry, specialising in Sales and Relationship Management. Stan has a proven track record of driving profitable growth and delivering exceptional results for clients and stakeholders. In his previous role as Group COO of UAA, Stan successfully managed the Australian business and elevated UAA's industry profile as the leader in Mobile Plant & Machinery Protection. As CEO, his focus is to build on this success and take the UAA Group to new heights by implementing innovative strategies and service initiatives that deliver superior outcomes for our clients. Stan is committed to leading the UAA Group with integrity, transparency, and a client-centric approach, ensuring that the company continues to be a trusted partner to our valued clients.

Marc Crossman - UAA Group EGM
Distribution Strategy
With a career spanning more than 20 years in the insurance industry, Marc brings a wealth of expertise and strategic vision to his role. Marc's roles since joining UAA include Operations Manager SA/NT, taking charge of UAA's expansion into the Asian market as Regional Manager Asia (Singapore based), and more recently as Regional Manager VIC/TAS/SA/NT. Recognising his skills and accomplishments, Marc was appointed as the Group Strategy and Distribution Manager, assuming a key role within the Group Executive Team. He oversees Sales/Market Strategy, Strategic Distribution, Marketing/Branding, and Advertising/Events. Marc holds a Masters in Business from the University of South Australia and is a distinguished Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Additionally, he completed the highly regarded Stanford LEAD executive leadership program, further augmenting his expertise in corporate governance and strategic leadership.
Jane Cook – UAA Group EGM
Plant & Machinery
Based in our Brisbane office, Jane joined UAA in December 2005. Jane, by way of on-the-job experience and external study, joined the management team in the role of Head of Compliance – Global. During this role, Jane was instrumental in the development and monitoring of all processes and procedures relating to both institutional and industry compliance governance. Following this, Jane was appointed to the role of Regional Manager North overseeing the operational function of the northern region for UAA. In addition to this, she was also promoted to the Executive team as Group Chief Underwriting Officer to which she currently oversees the underwriting function of the Australian UAA business.
Peta Ross – UAA Group EGM
Business Technology
With nearly 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, Peta’s journey began in an administrative role, where she gained a comprehensive understanding of the insurance world from the ground up. Moving to a larger corporate insurer provided opportunities to gain experience across various product lines in administration and underwriting. Peta transitioned to a business development manager, where she managed a panel of brokers in QLD and NSW including underwriting property risks. Peta co-founded MECON Insurance in 2003 after identifying an opportunity to create an agency specialising in construction and contractors plant insurance. Starting with zero Gross Written Premium (GWP) and just the two of them, the company has grown significantly over the past 21 years. Peta held various positions in MECON. From 2004 until becoming an EGM at UAA Group, Peta was COO for MECON.
Tracy Murphy – UAA Group EGM

Tracy is a highly commercial executive human resources professional with expansive experience working within leading transformational commercial entities in Australia and overseas. Experienced with partnering CEO, Board and Executives Tracy is passionate about delivering a ‘best practice’ employee experience to benefit our teams and our clients. Tracy's experience in delivering effective change management programs to businesses ensures our effective transition from visionary goals to tangible results, whilst empowering and inspiring teams to deliver through periods of business change.
George Grasso - UAA Group EGM Claims and Procurement
George has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance, repair and assessing / loss adjusting industries. George is experienced in managing claims, assessing teams, repair facilities, as well as managing business relationships with customers and handling complex claims. George’s role as EGM Claims and Procurement is to continue to develop UAA’s professional global claims capabilities and service as well as group procurement.
